These pinwheels join over 400,000 others displayed nationally in the last year to bring attention to preventing the physical, emotional, mental and sexual abuse of children. To bring new awareness to the prevention of child abuse and neglect, Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) America introduced the bright blue and silver pinwheels to replace the traditional blue commemorative lapel ribbon.

Parent Group Schedule Expands to Meet During the Summer! The Parents Anonymous® group at the Burke High School Parent Information and Resource Center (PIRC) will Continue to meet throughout the summer months on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Originally meeting on Tuesdays only during the school year, (September through May,) the group has started to meet even during summer vacation, helping parents cope with situations during the difficult months while children are out of the classroom and may be faced with a lot of time on their hands. For more information about joining the weekly mutual parent support group at the PIRC center, contact Donna Xenakis, 747-0480, ext. 27.
